Robert a BEB Fan and also local employee of 3 Pigs Barbecue in Gravois Mills caught the largest bass ever caught at a Baub Eis Band Show.

It was a great weekend at the lake.  It was a bit hot, but the food was smokin’ and made up for it.  I highly recommend the smoked chicken wrap, and of course don’t miss the AMAZING bbq beans.  DO NOT MISS those!

I’ve know Rene for a long number of years, since the early 90’s.  I studied guitar under him for about a year when we both lived in Lincoln, Ne.   Haven’t talk to him in a while, but stumbled across his youtube video stuff, and wanted to share it with you.  Rene has such a unique style and perspective on life.  He has a lot more videos on his youtube site, so make sure and check out a couple of those too.  His website is http://www.renebenton.com but currently doesn’t seem to be working.  Hopefully I can get Rene on the Homegrown show here sometime!

The Baub Eis Band is back this season with a vengeance  at their usual stomping ground, Chevy’s this Friday May 22, 2009 Memorial Day Weekend.    The band has made some lineup changes over the last year.  Long time BEB drummer John Marsi is still thunderizing the drums and sharing the singing duties with Baub as well as backup DJ Duties,  KP Hauge is new to the bass and to the band.  Having been through several years of the blues society jams (the gig simulator), he as emerged as a valuable asset to the lineup.  Baub of course is returning on guitar and lead vocals.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful.  Did I mention BEAUTIFUL? So come on out and hear some great music, we love to see all of our old friends and meet some new!
